【摘要】目的进一步深化认识和探讨化脓性颌骨骨髓炎的临床特点、分型及诊断，以减少误诊。方法通过对一误诊的边缘性上颌骨骨髓炎的临床资料进行分析整理，区分其与其他类型的颌骨骨髓炎的异同之处。结果化脓性上颌骨骨髓炎好发于儿童，感染途径多为血源性。牙源性以下颌骨为多见。边缘性的较局限，很少波及颌骨体，中央性的以弥漫性为多见，病变多在颌骨体。急性化脓性颌骨骨髓炎通常来势凶猛，病情重，并常有引起血行感染的可能。结论化脓性颌骨骨髓炎的发病部位与感染途径有关，病情与感染菌种，病菌毒力的强弱，发病的起因相关联，并发症与其传播途径密切相关。
